JANYSE (pronounced Zja-niece) is an accomplished and award-winning voiceover actress, singer/songwriter and author of Icelandic and French descent. Featured in radio, television, film and internationally acclaimed animated series, Janyse has also made a lifelong study of the human mind and has recently expanded her focus to pursue her passion of helping children gain their own voice of courage, confidence and belief in themselves. Janyse’s message is built on the belief that “by igniting the mind of a child, Little Voices can Inspire Big Change”.
The concept of "The Magic of Think" came from Janyse’s experience with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Four children with life-threatening illnesses made their one wish to meet the cast of the animated series Ed, Edd n Eddy. It was then that she decided to start the ‘Adventure’ by creating the music and lyrics, led by animated characters, that would build self-esteem, empower and enrich a child's life.
Janyse is the voice of Pinkie Pie in My Little Pony (Hasbro), Sarah & Lee Kanker in Kids Choice Awards Best Cartoon nominated Ed, Edd n Eddy (Cartoon Network), Narrator of the Emmy Award Winning series Adoption Stories (Alliance Atlantis Discovery), Cymbeline in Bratz (MGA), and Melissa Duck in Baby Looney Tunes (Warner Bros). Her original songs are featured in Pamela Anderson’s new feature film Blond & Blonder, as well as the movies My Fair Eddie, Love Sick and All She Wants For Christmas.
With such a solid resume to her name, it is no secret that Janyse is a well-known figure in the industry with a growing, dedicated fan base around the world. She would like to thank numerous people for her continued success; among them is Ivana Chubbuck, who has offered her invaluable coaching and guidance throughout her career. As Janyse states, 'It is an honor to be in such good company with others under Ivana's tutelage including Oscar winners Halle Berry and Charlize Theron.'
We couldn't agree more, but it is her magical voice that will separate her from the rest!
